     in Japanese, "maru" (丸) means a circle or just something round (much like the green mascot creature here)

     children or pets are often affectionately called "Maru". There was or is a pretty famous youtube cat named Maru, and if you've ever looked at the logo for maruchan instant ramen you'll see a circular face of a little boy whose name clearly must be Maru-chan

     for some reason this girl has to walk over to her school building to then attend a class in virtual reality and I can only assume this is because some friend of whoever runs the school had building space they really needed to rent out

     I'm enjoying how in this show when they're doing VTubing stuff in this they switch to a mediocre Live 2D style where their hair has weird collision detection issues so you get the proper VTuber feel
