   You're on different servers, and each server on the Fediverse stores its data separately.

   Every now and then, your server will check the other server for the latest follower numbers, but it doesn't do this all the time because it would take up a lot of resources for something that isn't that important.

   You will eventually see the numbers change the next time your server does an update for that account.

   You can find the most accurate numbers right now by going to the account's own public profile page, because that is stored on their own server:

     Not that it matters too much. I'm just curious why Propofolium seems to have 100 followers less when I took a look at her profile than when she does it herself. (See screenshots above.)

     Viel länger bin ich auch nicht hier, aber:
     Ich glaube du bist mit dem Browser erstmal in der Ansicht, wie du es von deiner Instanz aus sehen kannst. Einige Follower sind auf Instanzen die da irgendwie nicht sichtbar sind, vage Idee: Weil deren Instanzen mit deiner (noch) keine Vwrbindung haben vielleicht?
     Wenn du nicht eingeloggt auf die Instanz von Propofolium gehst, und da ihre Seite aufrufst siehst du alle.
