Reminds me of something that happened locally here in #Ōtautahi #Christchurch, an old Chinese lady's extensive herb and vege garden was hacked back by her housing provider without warning, but there was such a public outcry that it was rebuilt, and people raised money and sent seeds to replace her rarer plants from around the motu.
