@winter@ginny I'll ask you in a different way. Out of trans people and black people. Who do you think is more targeted both in real life and on the internet?
Is america majority white? How did it get that way? Is social media majority white? If so, how did it get that way?
@DryBird227@winter@ginny your argument reeks of "fuck you, got mine". You got your civil rights so fuck our struggle. All of us in here show up more for black causes than I guarantee you've ever showed up for trans people. We can't even point out blatant transphobia without you making it about you.
@eris@winter@ginny And how many of those types of bills in america's lifespan have been directed exclusively at black people?
Keep in mind. White people took america from indigenous groups hundreds of years ago. So how many of those type bills have black people faced over america's entire life?
@DryBird227@winter@ginny Again all of us in here show up against that shit and don't speak over you.
So why are you in here taking up space for your cause and speaking over trans women? You think black trans women don't see your posts where you dismiss transmisogyny to only validate racism?
If we're in your threads going "but what about us" you'd have every right to call us out. But you're getting criticism here for dismissing our concerns and making it about you.
This thread is about a trans woman receiving violent threats and you're here saying "but we have it worse". That's toxic af, it wouldn't matter if you were the most oppressed person in the room. don't speak over trans struggles, quit with competing one form of oppression over another. It's trash
@eris@winter@ginny "You got your civil rights so fuck our struggle. " Oh. so white people stopped attacking black people? Cops don't kill us on sight anymore? Republicans don't create bills targeting us anymore? Is that what you're saying by this comment?
@DryBird227@winter@ginny sorry yeah I'm just a dumb tranny who can't read or understand a poem that we all read in 2nd grade compared to your smart cis brain
@eris@winter@ginny I know the poem i just linked you to is difficult to understand on it's own. And even more so in this specific context. But do give it a read. A very slow...slow read.
Because no man, woman, trans person, etc. Is an island. What one group does effects another until it circles back around.
