@kaia i have a disk setup from hell in my microserver rn. front bays have 4x4T storage disks, OS SSD attached via the SATA port originally meant for the optical drive extension, and because the server can't boot from that SATA port there's a microsd card in there that holds /boot and grub, but that card reader is attached through some cursed interface routed through iLO, and every time i reboot the server i have to do a full power cycle or it doesn't recognize the sd card as a boot drive

anything is better than this shitshow
