     WHERE in the capitalism rules does it say GROWTH is required?

     Everything has cycles but there's no such thing as never-ending growth.

     How about MAINTAINING an economy at a SUSTAINABLE "pace" commensurate with productivity and population?

     Also seems like a more achievable goal.
