mu (mu@thebag.social)'s status on Thursday, 26-Oct-2023 12:02:03 JST mu i had a feeling you'd say that.
see, turok was already a very competent hunter and warrior, and gains access to increasingly very effective weapons throughout the lost land, with little to worry about other than combat. very little in the ways of annoying puzzles and weird psychological stuff and possibly more emphasis on tonal unease over jump scares. sure, it has the poor draw distance, but it's more like quake with dinosaurs instead. what i'm thinking of could have fucked up freaky extra-monstrous dinosaurs, but i'm more interested in an equivalent nomenclature. the first resident evil is in a house where am evil company put zombies and mutants, and dino crisis's name is probably more descriptive of the situation at hand. so my first thought for something i described was something like "Cretaceous Springs" or something with a similar balance of cryptic and on-the-nose, but there isn't necessarily a logical reasoning to translating the requisite parts of speech in an intuitive way. maybe like "Scary 'Saurs." -
