     @kaia afaik there is also the Münchener Du, which is basically the opposite. You use the informal du, but their last name.

     Well in formal Romaninan "tu" turns into "dumneavastră". It feels awkward every time someone talks to me like that.

     It's funny that in the north there is a more casual polite form "mata" but it the south that's the contracted form of "**** your mother", the stars being implied.

     That's a full name though, not just a last name.
