i hate the "car centric" culture that's so prevalent in society, especially american society. it feels like cars are treated as some sort of great commodity even though it's just a pollution machine that lets you fast travel

@mjdxp I love them but I admit their disadvanges and agree that there should be a LOT better public transportation than what we have. But some cars are beautiful and comfortable and they're like a little home on the road.
when I was a teenager I loved driving down dusty roads in a pickup truck with my dog on the passenger side sticking his head out the window, enjoying the air flying by.

@tiskaan @mjdxp I love fast cars and I think cars have been an important part of american culture but things don't have to last forever and it may be time to move on from car culture.

@Moon @mjdxp there should be a healthy dynamic mix.
Most people shouldnt need cars if they just commute to one static place day in day out.
but to say we should entirely remove cars is kinda stupid because they do provide alot of utility but suburban sprawl is literally the devil.
the world needs to copy japan by having no zoning laws
