   GNU distros aren't limited to GNU packages either
   GNU systems IMHO also encompass software that is not GNU but that was designed to fit in, even if by replacing GNU software

     1) Termux is kind of an Android Linux environment since its does turn a basic android environment into a functional Linux-like environment, if you look at other terminal emulators that are not based on Termux/don't compile their own packages, you can see that its a fairly limited environment, on Termux, we try to change that, you can even run Other Linux distros on Termux(with and without root).

     (2) You are not limited to GNU utils, you also have busybox, so can we really consider Termux a GNU environment?

     @termux Perhaps this profile description could be changed. If I understand it right, Android is already a "Linux environment" and what Termux greatly adds to Android is a #GNU environment, having mostly GNU tools, and others, starting with GNU #Bash, on top of the #Linux kernel already running the device. A slight practical correction, but probably important to GNU @fsf @lxo

     By the way, congratulations for the project! The possibilities it opens are really tremendous.

     📲 Pra quem ainda não conhece, @termux praticamente faz #Android se tornar um #GNU dentro dele, com gerenciador de pacotes e tudo, muito fácil, mesmo sem ter o root liberado. Não é um mero emulador de terminal Android como outros disponíveis. É muito bom! Diz que pode até rodar aplicações X, mas ainda não testei.
