     @vriska Ah the fanatics. I live in a red state and I STILL know entire families who teach stuff like that and don't let their kids do anything. For a while the school district wasn't allowed to discuss evolution and had to emphasize it's only a "theory". And yeah the native genocide was all sorts of fucked, and the CIA force sterilized a bunch of native women (https://www.nlm.nih.gov/nativevoices/timeline/543.html) or when they didn't give natives anesthetics because they believed they didn't feel pain as much as white people
