   One thing I find crazy and that I thought about again in recent days is that Hebrew, a language with 5 million+ native speakers, didn't exist even a hundred year ago. Modern Hebrew is a modern invention, explicitly created to have a new Israeli language that wasn't German or Russian. It's hard to believe but they really did it.
