I have been contemplating this idea for a while now and I actually have a really exciting plan. I would love to create a special server on the Fediverse for my extended family. I've noticed that none of them have joined the Fediverse yet, so I think it would be a great solution to have our own dedicated Trottier Family & Friends server. This way, we can easily share news, family photos, and organize events in one place.

I think it's important to mention that the design of this Fediverse server would be more like Facebook rather than Twitter. I know that most of my family and friends are more familiar with Facebook and would feel more comfortable in a cozier environment.

Now, you might be wondering why I don't just join Facebook. Well, if you know me, you can probably guess my reasoning behind this decision: I am not a fan of being controlled by Big Social and I don't want to give Facebook my personal data ever again.

Believe me, I am really excited about starting up my Trottier Family & Friends server and I can't wait to get it up and running!
