@DrRyanSkelton usually when people say this sort of thing they're being illiterate but this scene really just makes dr light look like an asshole. And the gear system is demonstrably incredible.

I will assert every day that Dr. Wily is the true hero and I will use Rockman and Blues whenever appropriate, but what I will never ever do is pretend to give the faintest quantum of a damn about a plot connection between MMX and MM. Hell, basically all of MMX's plot period. MMZ only makes the cut because I wanna FUCK Leviathan and also the final showdown and even then just barely.

@DrRyanSkelton Also I like the theory that Dr Wily and Light both went on to perfect the double gear system in Zero and X and every robot from that point forward is totally cracked out on the speed and power the original Rockman can only wield in short bursts.

@DrRyanSkelton I mean I think they've come out and said at least once that X is basically a "what if" relative to the original series so that the happy go lucky original games can survive without having a ridiculously grim outcome for humanity and most robots. I just like the world building stuff though I think it's neat and Zero is basically proof that Dr Wily is the greatest robo scientist after all.

@DrRyanSkelton Also the EXE series is basically founded on "what if Dr Light said fuck robots and made the internet and Dr Wily was pissed about no one wanting to develop robots" also dr light had sex instead of building robot children. it's pretty funny.

I gotta cut the writers some slack because they really only have two characters to work with and the gear gimmick must come from SOMEWHERE
