   My local supermarket now disallows the use of personal bags and carts while shopping. If I bring my own trolley, I have to lug it *and* a basket or cart around. I have no idea if I've overfilled the trolley until after I've checked out, since I have to load onto the self-checkout scale rather than directly into my trolley. So pointless.

     @annika My local supermarket has “solved” this “problem” by hiring armed security guards that check your receipt at exit. “Go ‘merica!”
