     @Sophistifunk Alternative view: he is the only one actively and quickly working toward settling Mars, in my opinion the crucial action for humanity's long term survival. It is the evolutionary dictate. We can't sit here on Earth forever, even for very long time. It is propagate or get extinct. Hence, despite his selfishness, he is doing job of making foundations for long term human survival&prosperity.
