     I actually think youtube shorts is better. The formula and style of TikTok videos just seems so fake and obviously manufactured to try to get you to keep watching. It's incredibly annoying.

     it's like someone built a service where everyone can become their own advertiser and you socially need to keep up with your friends ads. Real ads are mixed in. Which ones are authentic and which ones are paid crap ... nobody knows.

     so, I've been trying out TikTok just for watching vids in the bathroom and not following anyone.

     My feed on there is like:

     * Cats
     * Hypnotic paint thing
     * Cats
     * Ad
     * Cats
     * DIY
     * Cats
     * Ad about cats
     * Trump propaganda
     * Cats
     * Ad
     * Ad

     Not sure if there is much value beyond the cats
