Hearing about the #Bandcamp news is genuinely angering and saddening. I'm going to be doing my best to make up for the monetization, but this also goes deeper than that.
Having it be the least shitty option (and nearly the only one) for independent music, as well as being perfect for hosting music purchases, and additionally being decent for underground music discovery, this platform has a ton of weight. Seeing it likely being the end for it guts me.

For now, my current plan is looking into Ko-fi for hosting high-quality audio files for my work, as well as hopefully setting up subscription tiers for the future. I think it wouldn't be out of the question that many other people are looking into alternatives also.
