@tusooa
Thanks for the first part of the sentence. For the second part, I don't understand "under the rule of the Peking government", could you elaborate?
@tusooa Ha, I see. Thanks!
Yes, I found the group and their actions pretty bad*ss in regard to this context. ?
@isagalaev
Yes, my style really "parasites" the pure observation, that's why I study this. I need to practice outside of my comfort zone more, that's where I learn a lot. ?
The exercise here is really hard; I paint the faces, not after a photo but always in another view angle and light (to do a sort of 'license laundry' and make my art not a derivation of the photo, then able to be CC-By-Sa for Wikipedia). The sources are a bunch of low res photos from the press, or videos.
@davidrevoy @lessanspages looks very much in your style! However, only the left face in the bottom row looks somewhat Asian to me :-)
@xarvos @lessanspages @isagalaev
Thanks, I can share a copy of my reference sheet made with Beeref to compare:
@isagalaev @davidrevoy @lessanspages i mean the two on the right*
@isagalaev @davidrevoy @lessanspages hey, asian here and i would say the rest do look asian too (in fact, i’d say i more often encounter those with features like two on the left than the one you mentioned). i’m not chinese, though.
