近年、海外の建築メディアでも数多く見かけるようになったベトナムの建築において、自然との共生やヴァナキュラーな雰囲気を宿しつつ、どこか新しさを感じる建築を多く目にします。そんな不思議な魅力を感じるベトナム建築ですが、インターネットを介して見ていてもなかなかその魅力に迫ることができません。
今回は、ベトナムの設計事務所であるヴォ・チョン・ギア・アーキテクツでの勤務ののち独立し、ベトナムにて10年近く活躍しているstudio anettaiの山田貴仁氏にガイドしてもらい、ベトナム建築の今について深掘りしていきます。In recent years, in Vietnamese architecture, which has been seen in many foreign architectural media, we see a lot of architecture that feels somehow new, while inhabiting a vernacular atmosphere and coexisting with nature. In this issue, we delve deeper into the current state of Vietnamese architecture, guided by Takahito Yamada of studio anettai, who worked for Vietnamese design firm Vo Chong Gia Architects before setting up his own practice and has been active in Vietnam for nearly 10 years.
