     I try to standardise all my gear to use ~12VDC via PowerPoles, and fallback to AA batteries. USB-C has been great on both sides of that 12VDC line. This is a great tutorial https://hackaday.com/2023/10/12/usb-c-for-hackers-build-your-own-psu/
