     @romin it's not about the protocol, it's about sending a message... The message is that management wants everybody to adopt the latest fad so they won't have seasoned users who will call them stupids and at the same time to keep them literally in their pockets by forcing people to reply in their terms and conditions at any time through the bosses' monitored channel. IRC and XMPP cover most cases except for corporate allegiance.
