     I've seen actual pictures that got compressed and were detected as AI though.
     I'm not convinced the photo is fake, but the when and where of it are definitely up for question.

     @jeffcliff @alex @SuperSnekFriend @idea_enjoyer First, people ran it through an online service which claimed it was AI generated. That's a strong clue (although not definitive).
     Second, the noise in the charred baby is abnormal, and consistent with the noise in AI generated pictures.
     Third it doesn't look anything like a baby, seriously.
     Fourth, the fabric near the "head" appears to be ripped like paper - but elsewhere in the image it is clearly fabric.

     looks like OP ran a sobel operator the edges are virtually identical, just with a blue filter attached instead of invert afterwards
     ie all the noise should be the same in my image +/- some in-and-out-of-png artifacts

     I think the most we could say based on the above is that it's not clear that it's real.
