The best DE was Pantheon for a while, until the devs forgot their gender and switched everything to flatpak. -

Nekobit (neko@posting.lolicon.rocks)'s status on Friday, 13-Oct-2023 06:12:38 JST Nekobit @alex @mischievoustomato @ahmad @a8179d662da349611f423cd5087ddfe026dd27c613ddbc30fa3bf27a07b40ae7 @caf i used to write code for kde and my major complaint is that nothing is organized over there. Several apps for the same thing and messy ugly code nobody wants to fix. Some desktop setups just look disgusting and all the themes are macOS clones. They even rejected my X11 patch for kwin which cleaned up code and added trackpad gestures
EnlightenmentWM is where i do work and everyone is friendly and we all have a degree of quality in our work. Its why the themes (except for the flat one) look so good, because Raster just has a good eye for quality. KDE was a buggy disaster but i cant say the same for E (there are some hiccups here and there though, but there is a button that restarts the WM in 4 seconds and all is well)
Gnome is okay but im not big into the goals and decisionsAlex Gleason likes this.
