   Today is (National) Coming Out Day. Remember that coming out - revealing a truth about yourself - isn't something you do only once. You have to do it with everyone you meet.

   Sometimes you have to *remind* people which always strikes me as weird. Were they just not paying attention the first time?

   Full disclosure: I have to come out as autistic and non-binary. The latter is the tricky one as I don't have a piece of paper to prove it.

     So there is an assumption amongst some sectors of the population that I'm jumping on a bandwagon. I'm not, it's just that I didn't have the proper words / concepts for it - say - 25 years ago.

     Doesn't mean I didn't try at the time using the language and concepts available to me, but people just got more vocally annoyed / irritated with me when I did so.

     @catmachine I mostly meant the people who assume you’re jumping a bandwagon, those people’s opinions are just not worth even worth entertaining
