LisPi (lispi314@mastodon.top)'s status on Tuesday, 10-Oct-2023 17:34:16 JST LisPi @iska Yeah, it weirds me out reading that page you linked like... why not just write some minimal runtime/VM/whatever with capability addressing & enforcement... and that's it?
Why are capabilities mentioned nowhere in the entire page?

LisPi (lispi314@mastodon.top)'s status on Tuesday, 10-Oct-2023 17:34:19 JST LisPi @iska I guess you've never heard of #InterlispD?
Though I guess you'd argue that a bytecode VM implemented as microcode isn't a kernel or something.
Outside of machines specifically designed for Lisp, a lot of Lisp OSes didn't run on baremetal per se.
