As a philosophical question, what’s the difference between snitching and whistleblowing?

@Bytecode whistleblowers find their current state of affairs unconscionable and, typically, seek attention of the appropriate authorities and remedies. releasing everything to the public is what they do when the authorities can not be trusted or have failed to uphold their duties.
a snitch is just ratting people out to get a better deal with his handlers.

@Bytecode either personal gain or out of spite.
its usually people mad they were passed over for promotion or sleighted by HR that turn companies in for licensing issues.
