   I dunno if you think they went up to plantation owners during that rebellion and asked "Would you kindly leave?"

   When they went up and asked for freedom the first time, they were tortured and their heads put on pikes.

   Do some thinking when you read these histories, and stop being a shallow consumer of events/histories.

     When you look at the attacks on education systems, removing books that give representation to marginalized groups, or speak of the histories of those marginalized groups, it is to control the bulk of the population so they don't see those groups as people.

     When you see people sharing these histories, it is so that you get more context into our peoples, and that you start to develop a sense of personhood towards us. When you don't see people as persons, that makes you incapable of understanding and properly acknowledging their victimhood.
