   23andMe suffered a cyber attack where the attackers scraped and leaked the data of 1.3 million users, specifically targetting ashkenazi jews and people of chinese descent. this data is now listed for sale

   this is transparently a fascist play. please stay safe. consider arming yourselves. if you're not jewish, now is the time to stand up for your jews.

     23andme claims I have a tiny bit of ashkenazi Jew in me which I am 100% certain is bullshit. You'd be a fool to trust this data unless you had the raw genome data for the people too which is the serious part but:

     All they got was their profile. Everyone is treating this like the apocalypse but it's like hacking into ancestry.com. I had an account, I know what is in there. Worthless unless you want to impersonate family members for scams.
     
     This is being blown way out of proportion until there's proof the raw data was leaked and that's not even directly accessible to you in your profile

     You could probably do a pretty good job of guessing who is Jewish in any massive PII data leak incident just by name and general location, and that hasn't lead to mass violence against Jews
