   Earlier today I boosted a post from @feditips regarding the load on mastodon.social, knowing full well that I am one of the straws that may one day break the mammut's back. I haven't yet found a server that feels like "me for the foreseeable future" yet.

   I've considered running my own, and I have plenty of good domains in my back pocket to choose from, but I'm quite burnt out on self-hosting. (1/n)

     You can use managed hosting where the hosting company does all the techy stuff including updates, fixes, maintenance etc. I've got a website about this at https://growyourown.services

     But I'm just suggesting people move to another server, they don't have to set up their own :) (Though obviously, nice to see more servers!)
