Calvin (calvin@cdrom.tokyo)'s status on Friday, 06-Oct-2023 13:52:03 JST Calvin @alex @aniki There’s gotta be some way to develop DIY solutions for small to medium-small developers and self-hosters. I’m sure there’s always complicated shenanigans that attackers could pull (which, honestly, many of the attacks could be coordinated by shady people at Cloudflare themselves, like “convincing” people they need the mob’s “protection”). But, the issue that worries me the most, when I looked into this, is how some hardware can be physically destroyed by the excessive network attacks. That sounds more like an electronics issue than a cybersecurity issue.
