   Her successes, not only at getting the shiny from Sweden but in literally helping save tens of millions of lives, should damn the publish-or-perish culture that has been allowed to flourish, from universities that put the kibosh on research and tenure to the corrupt pay-to-print Maxwell model for academic journals.

   It won’t, but it should.

     God, I am loving the amount of schadenfreude surrounding the Nobel prize for the mRNA research. The university that tried to undercut her ability to do that research is trying to claim it as theirs, the journals that turned down their papers are being called out
