that casali guy wasn't lying, TNT Evilution can get bad bad,
Doom 2 already made me hate most anything in that engine anyways but damn.

@lina @BigTony I pistol started D2, after that everything soured and only JPCP and Monster Hunter Ltd p.1 can make smile.
As shit as it gets, I can't dislike it as much as plutonia and D2-likes (cheating through it helps to peak the disappointment.) Mainly playing to check out TNT: Revilution.
P.d: Tatsurd-CacoCaco is the only individual uploading on youtube worth watching, discard the rest.

@lina waltzing in through pure 'start with the first one, duh' set me on this path, Tatsurd is the main guy holding together JPCP and contributing to other stuff: uploads speedruns and similar with no commentary.
Far from the exact TAS and TAS-like speedrun stuff, basically fall asleep material until I take control of my rhythm.
@BigTony Might really have to bite down on AV after this saga, although also abstract difficulty slanted it feels inclined on different spectrums than say, scythe.
Brotherhood of Ruin has been on the mental textfile for a while too, but don't know what to expect there.

@lina @BigTony went through it in the background little by little, bypassing when I knew a map would sap my (mild) will.
Thankfully it got better and it is honestly more enjoyable than Doom 2, though some maps just kick one's opinion of it while it's down. Also the scale of some maps hurts at times, even compared to D2.
It has helped me accept the first Doom as an oddity and the legacy actually being born of D2 and the TNT vs Plutonia design choices (obstacle course vs key/arena-encounter)
Good: for when it came out, with internet less encroached into life and more wonder about this fan project made official, it presents a lot to get lost into.
Bad: if that one pseudo-library key-rooms map didn't force hurtfloors again and again through backtracking, I might have even liked it. Most other grievances can be said by anyone that played TNT and didn't love it.
*Note: this might be my first WAD played entirely with keyboard, mouse half-broke and given that some AUGER;ZENITH maps I had a hard time with I beat keyboard only, I pressed ahead. HMP continous, still wasn't pleasurable for a first playthrough.

@boloros @BigTony i think i'd instead check out the wads myself instead since i don't really like watching youtubers if i wanna check something out, but i personally liked doom 2 and its "expansions" if you can call final doom that, although ID always had third party developers make basically map packs (sometimes with new weapons and enemies) for their games until queer 3 arena that is
