David Revoy (davidrevoy@framapiaf.org)'s status on Monday, 02-Oct-2023 05:10:48 JST David Revoy @ElDeadKennedy @kaia Yes, you are right. It's a "8bitdo zero 2" https://www.8bitdo.com/zero2/ gamepad. It has multiple mode (keyboard, switch, xbox, generic gamepad). Bluetooth on Linux catch the keyboard mode, and the generic gamepad.
I could grab the event on Linux with evtest, while in keyboard mode. So, I remapped the keys with this method https://www.davidrevoy.com/article989/how-to-customise-a-usb-numeric-keypad-under-gnulinux , it's a good little pad to get on my other hand while drawing, especially when I'm taking weird position 😅In conversation permalink Attachments

David Revoy (davidrevoy@framapiaf.org)'s status on Monday, 02-Oct-2023 06:15:51 JST David Revoy @kaia @ElDeadKennedy Yes, good little device. I'm happy about it. The battery is good enough to paint during 3 or 4 days, and it charges in two or three hour with a micro usb cable. It goes 'sleep' after three minute i think, but start button reconnect it almost immediately. So, it is useful.

David Revoy (davidrevoy@framapiaf.org)'s status on Friday, 01-Dec-2023 07:14:31 JST David Revoy @mhunt Hey, thanks for the link! (at 1:42; while drawing the eyes, big display lag) Oh, I'm pretty sure I'll have them on my email soon. The tricky part is always when I tell them I want to test without the proprietary driver and on Linux. That's where most disapear or don't reply 😂 We'll see!

MHunt (mhunt@socel.net)'s status on Friday, 01-Dec-2023 07:14:37 JST MHunt @davidrevoy Hello David !
Since you like to test hardware on Linux, here's an artist using an ASUS tablet. IN case you manage to make ASUS to send you one for testing.
Best
