If someone wants to challenge Microsofts dominance in the business market, now is the time. Outlook is adding new bullshit every day now, setting up a decent mail service with @thunderbird and a modern IMAP solution and sell it to businesses who are tired of Microsofts enshittification should work rather well. Spam will still be an issue, but it can't be much worse than Outlook now.

Are today's next to useless spam filters a result of #enshittification ? Outlook's spam filters are especially bad, despite Microsofts market dominance. False positives are the norm, while obvious spam gets through. It didn't use to be so bad. I get that spammers probably target Outlook more and are getting better at fooling the filters, but that shouldn't lead to more false positives. #email
