        Admin announcement #2: effective immediately, we have applied a limit to treehouse.systems. In one week (October 5th) this will be upgraded to a suspend. Throughout the recent outpouring of antiblackness on fedi, we have been keeping a close eye on how other users are behaving as well as server administrators. A lot of white folks (in many instances but including treehouse) have been justifying their antiblackness by saying that all of this "drama" has been about people "choosing sides". Many have also been arguing that the racism callouts that have been posted are an abuse of power due to the laundry list of other marginalized identities that the white folks accused of racism possess such as queerness, transness, class, disability, etc I don't like to repeat myself, but for the sake of clarity I will do so here: Identifying and speaking out about white supremacy and antiblackness on fedi is not an abuse of power. It's not "mean girl" behavior and it's not "fedi HOA" shit either. And for the last time, if you are white, no matter how many other marginalizations you experience, you can still be racist. You can still uphold white supremacy. Us calling you out on it is NOT abuse no matter how into white fragility you are. Be well.

      Stuff like this is why I advocate for "less politics" in general one way or another, but I genuinely couldn't even begin to describe how crazy I'd go if I had to address stuff like that like in the post

      @eris @oathboundFamiliar "Identifying and speaking out about white supremacy and antiblackness on fedi is not an abuse of power", the antiblackness of criticizing a project and website? I guess if I criticized someone's project and they were gay, that would be homophobic? Or how about if they were trans? I'm transphobic then?
