   So, uh, I'm not really feeling this Ro guy and his #thebadspace thing.

   He had some wildly goofy shit to say to/about me a while go that hipped me to the fact that he's probably not the type you really want in charge of moderation.

   And presently my concern lies with him "speaking for us," as in Black folk, which AFAIK isn't much earned nor appears to be healthy.

   I could be wrong here; there's a lot of mess, but I wanted to put it out there.

     @jrm4 he'll always say he's "not in charge of moderation" but that criticizing anything on there means you hate him and hate POC (which is so reductive and hides that most of the block lists are run by white people)
     
     At least as far as I can tell it's better to just ignore him and that project

     Right -- and honestly *literally* the only reason I'd respond to the thing at all is that it appears to be gaining some notoriety around Mastodon.

     And I want Mastodon to gain popularity and work for a lot of people, (especially/including black people) and become *the thing* because its the best model

     (which increasingly, I'm seeing is not a particularly popular view)
