   Looks like Windows 2000 (or at least ISO patched with HFSLIP) can handle virtio storage driver if you give it the floppy image during initial installation. It's a bit buggy, shows up as 8 identical disks instead of only one, but it works. Sadly, it's the only virtio driver that works; NetKVM and QXL throw error 31. I can still get full color by setting VM to use VMVGA adapter and extracting the video driver from VMware Tools installation wizard, but it's much more laggy.

     @aeiou Same reason as with piracy. The mind that hasn't been fully commercially diseased sees the tool and not the product.

     I also get the impression you Russians are fundamentally conservative people by nature. Things that lasted are good because they lasted. I’ll liken it to your approach to religion: Orthodoxy is right because it’s old and because even if some of the Nicene scriptural interpretations are dubious sans appeal to tradition, muh tradition blow it out your ass, anything new is a “sect,” gg.
