can bladders actually shrink? like i found out during surgery recovery due to a blocked catheter that was ignored by a nurse on shift, the following shift nurse who actually acknowledged my point that itw as blocked said my bladder held 3x the normal bladder limit, but now due to a change in urethral gravity i cant sleep longer than 7 hours without my bladder deciding its time for action. Am i just doomed to a super sized bladder that wont ever see its full potential again or might it shrink from nonusage?

I've had the same problem the last few months, I saw mine yesterday, & they're doing some tests. "Overactive bladder" is one possibility, and there's treatments for that. So yeah you can try and get this treated (assuming that Drs don't routinely deny you care as some unprivileged ppl have to deal with).
