     @MartinJJ @jim I was on the freeway on the far side from the kerb, near an exit. Took a second from “shit that’s the left rear tyre gone” to stationary on the side of the road.

     Driving for like 45+ years I never even had a flat tire - knock on wood - let alone such a shredded one. Must have been really bad quality or you hit something.

     @MartinJJ @jim I got a flat, which I assume was a regular flat. But at 100kph there’s a lot of revolutions by the time you’ve managed to pull over safely.

     Maybe I’m wrong, but that doesn’t look like normal flat to me. Even with high speeds they are not supposed to shred to pieces.
