   So, somehow, while discussing "human nature" I became loosely involved in a discussion about Lord of the Flies. This isn't directed at the people talking to me about it, but just for clarity:

   A) Lord of the Flies is fiction

   B) A book whose foundational message is "we'd all be murder "savages" without the "civilizing influence" of Anglo society is absolutely not "good" and probably shouldn't be something we teach our children on purpose.
