China said it will have eliminated urban poverty in 2020. I assume that was thrown off by COVID but I wonder where they're at right now with that.
I had read that the Chinese so-called "ghost cities" since the early reporting about them, have now been filled and it was a good investment. But then there was a real estate bubble that popped and I am wondering if the ghost city thing is either capitalist propaganda ("ghost cities exist and are bad") or communist propaganda ("actually we filled all those cities") it seems increasingly likely that I just can't know the truth.

@cell I have mixed feelings on this. They should hold businesses and CEOs accountable but it should be in a predictable way defined by law, they shouldn't just have a committee suddenly declare a bunch of businesses prohibited; and they shouldn't just disappear CEOs for badmouthing the government.
A lot of leftists were loving when they disappeared Jack Ma for a couple weeks but like, why does a communist country even have billionaires lol, honestly kind of an L for the best example of communism

@Moon All I've seen is empty residential towers being domilitioned due to (probably) no buyers. I'm willing to believe it was more of a Chinese incompetence.
