   I need a good but relatively cheap cassette tape deck to convert a single tape to digital, what's a good option?

     I already have a high quality audio input device, basically just need a tape thing to send the analog signal to.

     @Moon I mean if you need a single tape, any device with a headphone jack will do.
     even my old fisher price player had one
     if you care about quality you should try to borrow one from a local rather than pay for one

     @Moon I have a good one I got from an uncle, it was in the attic
     most people stashed theirs but ask anyone that would have had one at the time cassettes were mainstream

     @Moon back when i was doing fedi radio stuff through icecast2, i just used an old walkman connected to the mic port of my desktop to stream cassettes. worked decent enough :shrug_akko:

     @Moon @mer maybe check Craigslist or Facebook market or something? I've got free tape decks in years past from there. no body wants them.

     they make cheap Chinese Walkmans on eBay. they don't sound great but are cheap (and small) and have a usb you could plug right into a computer.
