Mastodon 4.2剛發行，新增與調整的內容實在很多，不過最主要的還是搜尋功能的大幅度強化，現在可使用各種條件式去搜尋貼文，而且不僅僅是貼文，連個人資料的內容也可以搜尋，詳情可參考blog內容。

原本搜尋功能只能搜尋和自己有關的內容，現在可開放讓自己的公開貼文讓別人搜尋，這個功能是在「偏好設定/個人檔案/隱私權與觸及」，勾選『允許公開嘟文顯示於搜尋結果中』。
