every social website is like a world, like earth, and you come down in one location and you splash out like, a few miles, or a few dozen miles, and conclude that the entire world is a desert planet, or an ocean planet, or a jungle, steppe, mountain planet etc etc

partially fixable by actively seeking and curating your follows, but hard to fix in general, i think.
