I hold back online, too. It's so dam difficult to successfully communicate humor online, especially one-liners, without someone getting testy.
That's not really a bad thing. I married my wife in part because she is a consummate smart-ass.
Nothing gets my attention quicker than a full-stop, "Dam, I walked right into that one."
@DrGeof We're both wise asses, so we take turns with that. Believe me, I hold back my wise-assery here (most times, and I realize that's not a word but it fits)
Ach. Mark blurted something out during a phone conversation earlier, and I just blurted something out to him in TEXT. Unlike during a conversation, text is there for all of text eternity. He says he's going to print it out and frame it.
