Reading up on one of the people behind #thebadspace and I'm really not sure what to make of this "Pride for a Straight Guy" blog post of his: https://roiskinda.cool/2022/07/pride-for-a-straight-guy.html
At face value, sounds great! While Ro seems to admit to having some bias, I'd rather see someone be open and honest about it and discuss how they intend to deal with it.
That said, the actual current state of #thebadspace (including his "dev" "prerelease"? site tweaking.thebad.space), and his repeated dismissals of concerns from queer folks calls into question whether he's really effectively dealing with his own biases.
Talk is cheap. Actions speak louder. And the output of his work screams, at best, indifference to anti-queer outcomes. Couple that with his own admission of holding prejudices, biases, and discomfort, and yeah I don't think he's exactly succeeding at dealing with his "struggle".
