   One of the most blatant lies about gender-affirming care for youth also one of the most ubiquitous statements made about it, so I want to be clear:

   Affirming a young person's gender identity does not involve sterilizing them. Often, it doesn't involve medical interventions at all. When it does involve medical treatment, most of those treatments do not impact fertility. #trans #transgender #news #journalism

     @e_urq It's also horrifying to me that any adult is focused on a child's "fertility". Absolutely disgusting, and a way to communicate that the kids' lives don't matter, only their reproductive function matters.

     It should never cross anyone's mind! And I absolutely loathe that transphobes force us to think about it at all, even in the context of debunking their lying horseshit. >:(
