   someone please tell me an ingrown toenail that’s regularly oozing can actually heal by itself if you just do nothing, wear open shoes and keep it dry and i didn’t waste more than a month doing nothing.

     @eris that's what i did and then it got infected and since then granulated tissue covered it, that tissue is getting hard, really dry and yellow and all but it's a bit big to reach the nail. doctor saw all this.
     do you mean i should try to get beneath that too?

     @witchling I usually cut the entire side of the nail away from the skin and leave enough space so the nail isn't poking back into the swollen skin, that let's it heal up properly
