monogamous people telling me "there'll be others" after a heartbreak is the funniest thing bc like... i am not mortified by the thought of being alone, so i don't care and there could've been others without this thing ending too. i am grieving a particular person being in my life, not just any person being in it.

and all these comments make me wonder how much these people care about the particular people in their lives and not just that there is someone for them.
